Montanans value strong, secure families and communities. Unfortunately, during periods of unemployment, maintaining that security and protecting our quality of life can become a challenge. Unemployment Insurance (UI) is a state and federal partnership designed to strengthen the economy and protect families when these difficult situations arise. Like home or health insurance, UI is a collective investment to protect workers who encounter difficult times.
