The Montana Budget and Policy Center welcomes Kristie Smith, who will be spending the next year as an Americorps VISTA Member with Rural Dynamics, Inc. and MBPC. Prior to joining MBPC, Kristie worked in policy and program management for international development organizations, including UNICEF and charity: water. Most recently, Kristie completed a term as a Policy Development and Program Analysis VISTA for Community First Fund, a nationally recognized Community Development Financial Institution in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. A Pittsburgh native, Kristie holds a MSSW in Social Policy from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Elizabethtown College. We are thrilled that Kristie has chosen to dedicate a year of her life to service at MBPC!
MBPC is a nonprofit organization focused on providing credible and timely research and analysis on budget, tax, and economic issues that impact low- and moderate-income Montana families.
